Biography
My name is Tena with an “e” and I relocated to Tulsa/T-Town on July 8, 2023 from Houston/H-Town after living there for more than 30 years. I was born and raised in the heart of Louisiana (Alexandria). Being from a state that is known for its hospitality and family values have played a significant role in who I am today, even though my parents pass away when I was noticeably young.
I am the first in my family to graduate from college and the first in my family to have three beautiful and successful daughters who followed suit, with my youngest being an emergency medicine doctor at the tender age of 28. I made it a mission to raise my daughters to be independent, ambitious and self-sufficient and they did not disappoint (Thank you Lord). I have a ridiculous sense of humor, and have made so many people laugh around me. I believe laughter is the key for a happy and healthy life and oh so good for the soul. I think deep down inside, I could have been an amazing and successful comedian, but to be perfectly honest, I am discreetly shy. You know that introvert, trying to live her best life in an extrovert world😊.
I work at McKesson as a Senior Legal Specialist, supporting the pharma distribution business. Prior to joining McKesson, I worked at Chevron, Texas Children’s Hospital, Premier Healthcare Alliances, and Cardinal Health. During my career, I have had the opportunity to engage with different personality types from various backgrounds and have established effective ongoing relationships. In addition, my caring and friendly personality has drawn others in wanting to get to know me (I hope that would be you also 😊).
I am a self-motivated individual with a passion for kindness, respect and a nurturing spirit. I am your biggest allied and believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. I have received so many thank you messages over the year for encouraging others to be their best self. Moreover, I want to be the inspiration for others to walk out on faith and know an exciting new chapter is always awaiting their presence.
