Akia Beckman is a licensed cosmetologist and instructor with over 32 years of experience as a self-employed professional. As the co-founder of the Black Excellence Ball and Banquet and the Black Excellence Community Give Back, Akia is deeply committed to celebrating and uplifting her community. She is also the founder of the Women Walking in Purpose Outreach Ministry, a platform dedicated to empowering women to walk boldly in their faith and purpose.  

A devoted wife and mother, Akia’s greatest blessings are her two beautiful sons. She believes that ministry begins at home and strives to inspire her children before reaching out to inspire others. Her passion for travel and connecting with people from diverse cultures underscores her belief in divine connections.
