Carmen’s expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including education, youth development and prevention initiatives, healthcare, housing and community development. Ms. Pettie strongly believes that teaching people “ how to fish” truly builds a community’s capacity for sustainable development. She has taught grant writing workshops for the Metropolitan Tulsa Urban League in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for eight years and continues to present these workshops free of charge to any community organization and entity that needs to build their capacity to provide valuable programming and services in their communities.
