WHOW 4-Week Mentorship Program
Theme: Women Empowering Women to Rise Together
Goal: Train WHOW mentors to guide, encourage, and support mentees through their personal and professional growth journeys.
Week 1 – Understanding the Role of a Mentor
Objective: Define mentorship, understand WHOW’s mission, and establish expectations.
Topics:
- What it means to be a WHOW Mentor
- The 3E Journey: Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship
- Building trust and confidentiality
- Setting mentorship goals and boundaries
Activity: Mentor-Mentee Role Play
Second Assignment: Write your personal “Why” statement for mentoring.
Scripted Reflection: “How can I model growth, grace, and guidance?”
Week 2 – Empowering Through Effective Communication
Objective: Develop strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
Topics:
- Communicating with compassion and confidence
- Active listening and asking powerful questions
- Cultural sensitivity and emotional intelligence
- Navigating difficult conversations
Activity: Communication Circle (practice active listening)
Second Assignment: Identify one mentee scenario and outline how you’d respond.
Week 3 – Guiding Growth: Goal-Setting and Accountability
Objective: Learn to help mentees set and achieve realistic goals.
Topics:
- SMART goals in Education, Employment, and Entrepreneurship
- Accountability without judgment
- Encouraging consistency and resilience
- Tracking progress and celebrating wins
Activity: Create a sample 4-week mentee plan
Second Assignment: Develop a mentoring roadmap for your first mentee.
Week 4 – Leading with Legacy
Objective: Empower mentors to sustain impact and multiply leadership.
Topics:
- Creating lasting mentorship relationships
- Transitioning mentees into leaders
- Sharing testimonies and lessons learned
- WHOW’s mentorship impact and next steps
Activity: “Passing the Torch” ceremony or testimonial video
Second Assignment: Write a reflection: “How will I continue to empower women through WHOW?”
