Lisa Bain

2025 Lisa Bain Bio
Lisa Bain is the founder of Lisa Bain Ministries, a nonprofit offering comfort and hope through Resilience Care Packages and therapeutic animal visits. With over 25 years in nonprofit work and a degree in social work, Lisa brings both professional experience and deep personal passion to her mission.
Her journey began during a pivotal season when her mother was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and Lisa herself faced a debilitating autoimmune disease. Out of that hardship came a calling—to help others find joy and purpose in life’s most difficult moments.
Lisa is a certified member of The Alliance of Therapy Dogs, regularly visiting hospitals, cancer centers, senior living communities, and hospice care with her bernese mountain therapy dogs—Mabel, Maddie, and Moose.
A published author of four books, with her latest releasing in Fall 2025, Lisa also shares stories of hope through her Bain There Done That Blog and Treasure Talks vlog, where she highlights everyday heroes making a difference. She is a frequent speaker known for her authentic, faith-filled messages of healing and resilience.
Lisa Bain Ministries has been recognized as a Top Nonprofit (2022–2025) by Great Nonprofits, and Lisa has received multiple honors including the Compassionate Tulsan Award, the Lift Her Up Award from Flourish Homes, and a feature in the She Is Tulsa campaign.
Lisa lives in Tulsa with her husband Skipper, and they treasure time with their four children and four grandsons.

At Lisa Bain Ministries, everything we do is built on three pillars: Care, Connection, and Community.

We believe that care is more than a package—it’s personal. It’s sitting with someone in their pain, offering a hug, a prayer, or simply a presence that says, “You’re not alone.”

Connection is at the heart of our mission. Whether through therapy dog visits, volunteer outreach, or quiet moments at a bedside, we’re passionate about building relationships that last far beyond a single delivery.

And community—that’s our lifeblood. We could not do what we do without the incredible partnerships that fuel this mission. From businesses and churches to individuals and volunteers, it takes a village to wrap arms around the hurting. We are deeply grateful for every hand that links with ours to bring hope where it’s needed most.

In a world that often rushes by pain, we linger. We stay. We love. That’s who we are. And we’re honored to do it together with a community that believes in the power of compassion.
